Introduction to the Special Rail Coil Transfer Cart

Today, we introduce the special Rail Coil Transfer Cart, designed to operate on both horizontal and longitudinal tracks. Our battery-powered rail cart is particularly suitable for material transportation in industries such as steel, metallurgy, and manufacturing.

Project Background and Customer Needs

The customer is a large manufacturing company that frequently transports heavy materials and molds within the workshop. Due to the workshop layout, materials must be moved to multiple surrounding workstations, which are distributed across various facilities. As a result, material transportation requires not only linear movement but also cross-track operations.

Traditional battery-powered rail carts cannot move in both horizontal and longitudinal directions, so the customer specified the following requirements:

Two-way movement: The transfer cart must be able to move forward, backward, and stop.

Horizontal movement: To accommodate complex routes, the cart must also move sideways.

High load capacity: It must support a maximum load of 10 tons.

Safety: The cart must ensure stable and reliable transportation, even on complex routes.

Design Highlights of the DPX Series Rail Coil Transfer Cart

To meet the customer’s special requirements, the DPX series battery-powered transfer cart features a highly customized design with the following core highlights:

1. Dual Travel System & 8-Wheel Design

The cart is equipped with two independent travel systems and a total of 8 wheels.

4 wheels are used for longitudinal movement (forward and backward).

4 additional wheels enable lateral movement (sideways).

This design allows the transfer cart to flexibly switch directions on the track and adapt to complex workshop layouts.

2. Lateral Movement System

An integrated lateral movement system enables sideways movement via a motor drive and precision control system.

This automated lateral movement function allows the cart to switch directions at track intersections without manual intervention, greatly improving transportation efficiency.

3. Battery Power System

The transfer cart is powered by a high-performance lithium battery pack, providing long battery life and fast charging.

Battery power is environmentally friendly and energy-efficient, reducing noise and pollution compared to traditional internal combustion engine-powered carts.

This makes it particularly suitable for use in enclosed workshop environments.

4. Durable Wheels & Tracks

The wheels and tracks have undergone specialized treatment, ensuring high wear resistance and impact resistance.

This enhances the cart’s long-term stability and durability under heavy-duty conditions.
